“ You wouldn't necessarily know from the outside how great this restaurant is. Go in and find out. Very high quality food, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Also very reasonably priced. 100% recommended. ”
“ We went to L'aristide for our anniversary meal yesterday evening, the first time since the new proprietors took over. It's a hard act to follow, because the food provided by the previous owners was spectacular and very different. Well we were not disappointed, after a very friendly welcome from the server we had some really good starters, avocado mousse with prawns and a tomato and mozzarella Mille feuilles both tasty. Then followed a delicious lamb shank with home made chips and a nice sauce, and I had the couscous with 2 lamb skewers, which was really excellent, complete with an optional spicy sauce, which I really appreciated. This was a far better dish than that usually provided in France, as the proprietors come from Algeria and know how to do it properly. A very generous portion too! Desserts were delicious too, pistachio creme brûlée and a Sable breton with caramel de beurre salé. So while the food is not as fancy as it used to be, it is still excellent. Only slight issue was not being asked if we'd like a coffee, and then not being available so we could ask for one, but they were busy with a large party and they have not been here very long, so we forgave them. Thanks for a lovely meal. ”
